Lymphatic Massage: Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from body tissues. Some health conditions can cause lymph fluid to build up. Lymphatic drainage massages can benefit people with lymphedema, fibromyalgia, or other conditions.
Therapeutic Massage: Massage is best known as a way to help you relax and relieve stress. A gentle soothing massage can reduce stress, relieve muscle aches, improve your sleep and improve your mood. Massage therapy in a clinical setting is given by licensed professionals who are trained to find and focus on problem areas. This therapeutic type of massage involves more focused work on your body’s soft tissue — the muscles, tendons and ligaments that move and support your body.
Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage but with a deep tissue massage, your therapist applies slow, firm pressure to release muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
Cranio-sacral Massage: Cranio-sacral therapy is a modality that uses gentle touch to release compression and manipulate the bones of the skull, spine, and pelvis to help increase and normalize the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. It can help to relieve pain, insomnia, fibromyalgia, and reduce stress and anxiety.
Thai Massage: Thai Massage (also known as Thai Yoga Massage) is an ancient healing practice that consists of acupressure, assisted yoga stretching, and joint movement. This type of massage can reduce muscle tension and spasms, mobilize joints, improve blood circulation, balance and increase energy, reduce stress, and help treat sciatica, headaches, and neck pain. The client is fully dressed, wearing clothing that is comfortable to get a deep stretch in, such as yoga clothes, sweats, or other workout apparel. While the client relaxes on a mat on the floor, the massage therapist will take them through a series of muscle compressions, stretches, and joint movements, including work where the therapist may walk on the client or use their feet for deep kneading and stretching of muscular tissue. .
